1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device when you visit a website. The browser's own storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) plays a similar role: in this policy we call all of it “cookies”. They help the site remember your actions and settings (such as language) and make the site work better.
2. What Cookies We Use
2.1 Essential Cookies
These cookies and records always run and do not need consent: without them language, account sign-in, the chat with the assistant, site protection and remembering your choice in the cookie window do not work. They are not used for statistics.

2.2 Statistics (only with your consent)
Until you press “Accept all” or switch statistics on in the settings, nothing in the table below runs or is written to your browser, except the cookie autopase_visitor: the chat with the assistant sets it as a necessary one. If you allowed statistics earlier, this cookie stays until it expires (90 days at most) or until you delete it. After you agree, PostHog counts which pages are viewed and what people search for, records your actions on the site (session recording; form fields are masked) and notes rough interests — price range, make, stage of the search. The basis is your consent; you can withdraw it at any time with the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of the page. When you withdraw, recording and collection stop immediately and PostHog identifiers are removed from this browser. PostHog keeps session recordings for 30 days; the IP address is not stored. Without your consent, listing views are still counted, but anonymously: no number is stored in your browser.

2.3 Memory on this device (works without consent)
The site remembers in your browser what you did so that you can carry on: recently viewed cars, recent searches, returning to the same place in results, favourites, comparison, garage, saved searches and price watches. These records are kept on your device (favourites also in your account if you are signed in), work without separate consent and are not switched on by a button in the cookie window. You can delete them at any time in your browser settings (4.2) — the site then forgets this data.

3. Third-Party Cookies
We do not use advertising or social-media cookies. Third-party services: PostHog (statistics, only with your consent) and Clerk (account sign-in). Links to the partner carVertical's car check carry a source tag; if you accepted statistics, your PostHog browser number is passed in it too, so that the partner can credit the purchase.
4. How to Manage Cookies
4.1 Cookie settings on the site
Press “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page to see and change your choice. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: switch off “Visit statistics” and save.
4.2 Browser settings
You can also manage or delete site data in your browser:

- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data

4.3 What happens if you disable cookies
If you disable or delete cookies:
- ✅ The website will still work
- ✅ Necessary, authenticated and security functions remain available
- ❌ Recently viewed cars, search history and other memory on the device will not be kept, and statistics will not switch on
- ℹ️ If you rejected statistics, PostHog does not start in your browser

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our cookie usage. The latest version will always be available on this page with the "Last updated" date.
